I grew up in rural Southeast Idaho in a typical middle-class family.  My parents certainly did not have a lawyer on retainer to call every time they had a legal question.  In fact, growing up, I cannot recall a time that my parents even met with a lawyer.  I thought that sort of thing was reserved for the very wealthy in society.  And, true to that belief, as I started out in my legal career, I found myself working in a beautiful firm in downtown Boise serving some of those wealthy individuals and companies.

        It was not until I became a lawyer myself that I realized how important it is for every individual and family to have effective legal planning in place before it is needed – and how easy it is to put that planning off.

 

        I built my practice with the needs of growing families in mind.  As the mother of two young children and a business owner, I know that life is busy, and there never seems to be a good time for legal problems or planning.  But I also know, first-hand, the relief that is felt when you know that you have made the best decisions for yourself and your family and that you are prepared in the event that life throws you a curveball or you experience personal tragedy.  I also know how great it feels to know that there is a caring and competent support system in place when I have questions and concerns.

 

        My primary professional goal is to transform the way my clients view lawyers by becoming a trusted advisor, not simply a document preparer or court representative.  I enjoy keeping in touch with my clients and invite them to reach out to me as legal and financial concerns arise over time and as their lives and circumstances change.  

 

        I encourage communication with my clients and do not want them worrying that they will get a large legal bill every time they pick up the phone or send me an email.  Whenever possible, I bill on a flat-fee basis, that is agreed to in advance, so that you are not surprised by your bill.  I also have flexible payment plans available so that you can begin now to take the steps you need to protect yourself, your family, and/or your business.
